An evacuation order due to an out-of-control wildfire burning on Vancouver Island has been expanded to encompass hundreds of properties -- including an entire provincial park.

The "out of control" Wesley Ridge fire has grown to 511 hectares. Almost 400 properties are on evacuation order in the area. The B.C. Wildfire Service says it has had a "pretty successful" day setting up structure protection.
