The Red Sox might have called more than one team before trading their disgruntled $313.5 million star Sunday — but they did not call 29 teams, according to a new report.

Rafael Devers insisted he will play anywhere and do whatever Giants manager Bob Melvin and his staff ask him to play.

By taking on the entirety of Devers’ contract, the Giants already owe five players $115 million — three years from now.
