EasyJet axed 274 flights across today and yesterday including 150 today; while Ryanair said 70,000 passengers were impacted after it cancelled 468 services over the two days.

The airline has apologised to those affected by the cancelled flights but say "it is outside of our control and is considered to be an extraordinary circumstance."
