Tennis World on MSNRafael Nadal welcomes Carlos Alcaraz surpassing his legacy: 'It would not bother me'Rafael Nadal has once again shown his class, praising fellow Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz and offering a generous take on their contrasting styles and eras.
Carlos Alcaraz has made the grass courts of Wimbledon his own in recent years, but many ATP Tour stars have shed light on what he's like away from the action.
Two-time defending champion Carlos Alcaraz continued his dominating run at Wimbledon by reaching the final for a third consecutive year.
Adding his verdict on the matter, tennis legend John McEnroe said: “They can develop and catch up but they are going to have to dig really deep to get close to this because these guys aren’t exactly holding back in their work ethic and desire to win majors, having seven in a row between the two of them.”
Sinner defeated Alcaraz for the Wimbledon title -- the latest in a back-and-forth rivalry that will continue to entertain.
John McEnroe claimed Carlos Alcaraz was better than Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal at the age of 21 at last year's Wimbledon, but the star humbly disagreed.
