Ottawa Citizen on MSNAir Canada has suspended return to service until Monday
Air Canada said Sunday it was suspending its plans to return to work until Monday. The airline’s decision follows a decision by the Canadian Union of Public Employees, which represents about 10,000 flight attendants, to defy an order by the Canadian Industrial Relations Board to return to work.
Air Canada on Monday withdrew its third quarter and full-year earnings guidance due to a disruption in operations after its flight attendants went on strike.
Despite a back-to-work order, Air Canada flight attendants are continuing their strike for at least one more day. CTV’s Jeremie Charron reports.
