Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi disputed President Donald Trump’s claims that trade deals were used to clinch a ceasefire with Pakistan during last month’s military conflict.

Referring to both Pakistan’s army chief Asim Munir and PM Narendra Modi as being “extremely influential” in halting the conflict, Trump said he had used trade diplomacy to get both sides to de-escalate.
