Western winds have pushed smoke plumes from Prairie wildfires toward Quebec and Ontario, including Toronto and the GTA

A special air quality statement has been issued for Toronto as residual wildfire smoke from northern Ontario and the Prairies hangs over the city.

Much of Central Canada, Manitoba and Saskatchewan have been placed under special air quality statements or warnings due to smoke from wildfires, as Environment Canada advised residents to limit time outdoors and watch for smoke exposure symptoms.
