Miyu Yamashita of Japan captured her first major title when she withstood a charge by Charley Hull by not making a bogey until the outcome of the Women’s British Open was no longer in doubt

Miyu Yamashita held off a strong challenge from Charley Hull to win the AIG Women's Open by two shots on Sunday. Yamashita, who began the day leading by one from Kim A-lim, carded a steady final-round 70 in blustery conditions to land her first major title with an 11-under-par total of 277 at Royal Porthcawl.

Miyu Yamashita's AIG victory gives Japan bookend titles at the 2025 majors and four titles on the season from four Japanese different winners.
