Nisichawayasihk Cree Nation has issued a full evacuation order, its second in two months, as wildfires impact air quality and threaten the road in and out of the community.

Nearly 400 properties and a provincial park on Vancouver Island have been placed under an evacuation order due to a wildfire burning out of control.

The evacuation order, which took effect just before 11 a.m., covers the north side of the lake, including Chalet Road and Little Qualicum Falls Provincial Park.
