Beyoncé now has an Emmy award, on top of her 35 Grammy awards, placing her halfway to EGOT status. Named for four of the entertainment world's biggest awards, an “EGOT” winner is an individual who has achieved the extremely rare honor of winning an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony Award in competitive categories.

Over the course of her nearly 30-year career, the superstar, 43, has won a historic 35 Grammy Awards - the most ever for a recording artist or group.

Beyoncé was listed as one of the costume designers for the show, which was nominated for four other honors at the 77th Emmy Awards. Beyoncé's latest win means she is halfway to earning EGOT status, which one achieves by earning an Emmy Award, Grammy Award, Oscar or Academy Award and Tony Award.
