The early odds are out for golf's 2026 majors and Scottie Scheffler is the familiar name atop every list of favorites after his Open Championship win.

Scottie Scheffler's odds of winning the British Open got better and better until he finally secured the claret jug at Royal Portrush. At the BetMGM online sportsbook, Scheffler was the pre-tournament favorite with +550 odds to win going into the first round.

Scheffler, the top-ranked player in the world, has three wins on Tour this year, including a major victory at the 2025 PGA Championship. Scheffler finished tied for seventh in last month's U.S. Open and has finished in the top 10 in nine consecutive tournaments.
