A Tennessee man who reportedly wants to be a cop is accused of showing up at the door of Memphis Mayor Paul Young, prepared to kidnap him Sunday night.

The man accused of trying to kidnap Memphis Mayor Paul Young appeared in court for the first time but did not enter a plea.

The man accused of stalking Memphis Mayor Paul Young at his home faced a judge Friday. Trenton Abston, 25, is being held on a $50,000 bond. He is charged with attempted kidnapping, stalking, and aggravated criminal trespass.
