If you have a drive once used on Linux but wish to regain it for Windows 10, here's how to do it.
You can format an external drive quickly and easily in Windows, without the need of any third-party tools. But before you format your USB drive, you need to consider which file system to use.
Open up Windows Explorer and right-click on your drive in the sidebar. Choose "Format". In the "File System" dropdown, choose exFAT instead of NTFS. Click Start and close this window when finished.
This application can format USB drives so that they can be read or written to by Windows, Linux or OSX systems. The utility is included by default with the Gnome 3 desktop used by Fedora.
If you’re both Mac users, swell; with Mac and Windows in the mix, you might be tempted to pick FAT32 when formatting that thumb drive. But FAT32 is distinctly out of date.
