Novak Djokovic accepted that he could not match up to Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz on tour despite wiping out the rest of the competition to consistently reach the semi-finals since winning his last major in 2023.
Djokovic has lost to Sinner five times in a row. He last won a Grand Slam title in 2023, at the U.S. Open. Since then, Sinner and Alcaraz have claimed six between them, not including the 2023 Wimbledon championship, which Alcaraz won easily over Djokovic.
Alcaraz flirted with a shock first-round defeat against Italian Fabio Fognini, needing five sets. Sinner trailed by two sets against Grigor Dimitrov in the fourth-round after hurting his elbow, but was reprieved when the Bulgarian retired hurt.
Jannik Sinner stunned Novak Djokovic in straight sets at Wimbledon, setting up a final clash with Carlos Alcaraz. Sinner's dominant performance ended Djokovic's streak of Wimbledon final appearances going back to 2018.
