By Dan Peleschuk KYIV (Reuters) -Flags across Kyiv were lowered to half-mast on Wednesday, as Ukrainians mourned more than two dozen people killed a day earlier in Russia's deadliest strike on the capital this year.

Emergency workers pulled more bodies Wednesday from the rubble of a nine-story Kyiv apartment building demolished by a Russian missile, raising the death toll from the latest attack on the Ukrainian capital to 28.

At least 27 people, including an American citizen, were killed and 134 were injured in a massive overnight attack on Kyiv, marking one of the deadliest strikes on the Ukrainian capital this year as divisions in the Group of Seven nations kept mentions of the war to a minimum.
