At a Nintendo Direct session, the release date for Donkey Kong Bananza on the Nintendo Switch 2 was revealed. Players can explore outside the grid in this brand-new Switch 2 video game. "Donkey Kong Bananza" is only available to gamers on the Nintendo Switch 2.

Best Buy began selling the Switch 2 at its retail locations on June 5. It previously said it wouldn't sell the handheld at its online store during launch week, but it made additional consoles available on June 11 around 12PM ET. That restock lasted for the better part of an hour and required in-store pickup, but the device is now sold out again.

The Switch 2 officially launched on June 5. Through just the first four days after its launch, there were more than 3.5 million units sold, making it the fastest-selling Nintendo console. The original Switch device didn't even hit 3 million units sold by the end of its first month.
