Two veterans led the way Thursday night to keep the Bombers perfect start to the season going. Zach Collaros had four total touchdowns, throwing for three and rushing for one, while Nic Demski caught two touchdown passes as the Bombers moved to 3-0 on the season with a 36-23 win over the Edmonton Elks in front of the seventh straight sellout crowd at Princess Auto Stadium.

With the Winnipeg Blue Bombers up by three points against the Edmonton Elks and less than six minutes left in Thursday’s contest, the veteran quarterback escaped pressure and ran 13 yards into the end zone. The Blue Bombers went on to win 36-23.

Oliveira suffered a shoulder injury early in the Bombers’ first game, while Demski is dealing with an ankle problem after Saturday’s win over the Lions in B.C.. Oliveira is the CFL’s back-to-back rushing champ and the 2024 Most Outstanding Player Award winner.
