The United States Postal Service (USPS) will be closed on Juneteenth, meaning no mail will be delivered. However, FedEx pickup and delivery services will be available, according to the company's website. FedEx Office locations will also be open. The New York Stock Exchange is closed on Juneteenth.

Connecticut banks and credit unions are "not obligated to close" on legal holidays, including Juneteenth, and they can chose whether to close or remain open, according to the State of Connecticut Department of Banking. The Department of Banking advises residents to check with their local branch to see if hours will be adjusted.

Juneteenth is celebrated annually on June 19 and falls on a Thursday this year.
