Defenceman Nils Lundkvist is staying in Dallas. General manager Jim Nill announced Friday that they have signed Lundkvist to a one-year contract extension with a $1.25 million average annual value.

The Dallas Stars are bringing back another familiar face. The team announced Friday they are re-signing defenseman Nils Lundkvist to a one-year contract extension worth $1.25 million. Lundkvist, 24, appeared in 39 regular season games with Dallas last season, recording five assists.

The Dallas Stars have announced that they’ve signed both Mavrik Bourque and Nils Lundkvist to contract extensions. The Stars have been one of the more active teams over the last 24 hours and are expected to make even more moves as we get closer to the 2025 NHL Draft on June 27 and the opening of free agency on July 1.
