Minnesota Twins outfielder and Georgia native Byron Buxton was announced as the fourth participant in the Home Run Derby on Monday. The derby will take place next Monday, the night before the All-Star Game,

Brian Dozier represented Minnesota during the 2014 Home Run Derby that was held at Target Field. He competed against former teammate Justin Morneau who was a member of the Colorado Rockies at the time. Dozier hit just two longballs in the event.

And this time, after consulting with teammates, family and friends, the Twins center fielder is going as a Monday night Home Run Derby participant next week, too. The last, and first, time Buxton played in the All-Star Game was 2022 in Los Angeles, when he homered in an American League victory at Dodger Stadium.
