After early struggles, former Tennessee star Christian Moore delivered his first MLB hit and scored the game-winning run in the Angels' 1-0 extra-inning win over the Yankees at Yankee Stadium.

Almost a full calendar year has passed since Los Angeles Angels second baseman Christian Moore, then a junior at Tennessee, sprinted towards his teammates in the infield as they celebrated their 6-5 victory over Texas A&M to win the 2024 College World Series.

Moore would go on to score his first run in the Majors in the top of the 11th inning, giving the Angels a lead in extras. Moore was the automatic runner that was placed on second to open the inning.
