Brown had missed a week of practice before returning on a limited basis on Aug. 10. Brown was also listed as limited on Aug. 12, the day before the Browns arrived. Each day, Brown took part in individual drills, but not the team drills.

Wednesday was Bennett’s most significant test yet. Eagles defensive coordinator Vic Fangio deployed Bennett with the first-team unit for the first time. One bad practice doesn’t supply a definitive verdict, but it’s a foreboding development for the Eagles as they search for someone who won’t be a liability in their secondary.
