Voters in a sprawling riding in central Alberta are returning to the polls on Monday for the second time in four months in a federal by-election that is expected to return Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre to Parliament.

Pierre Poilievre is considered the favourite to win the byelection in Battle River-Crowfoot, which experts deem “one of the safest Conservative seats in all of Canada.”

Albertans living in the federal riding of Battle River-Crowfoot will soon have a new member of Parliament as they prepare to vote in Monday's byelection. Prime Minister Mark Carney called the byelection in June after Conservative MP Damien Kurek stepped down from his seat so Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre could run.
