WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Krispy Kreme Doughnuts Inc. said Monday its first-quarter loss widened as the doughnut maker continues its recovery from a bad stumble several years ago.
The fourth-quarter net loss was $24.4 million (U.S.), or 39 cents, per share, compared with a loss of $37.7 million, or 61 cents a share, a year ago, Krispy Kreme said in a regulatory filing.
