We assembled two folders, one containing 10GB of video clips and the other a 100GB folder of image and video files and timed how long it took to transfer each one from our computer to the Vx500 SSD.

The new Samsung Portable SSD T5 includes a USB Type-C port. If you haven't got such a port on your computer there's no need to get your own adapter cable.

SanDisk's Extreme SSD is as classy and practical as it gets in portable storage, with a ruggedized, but thin and handsome design. It's also fast, though not quite on a par with Samsung's T5.
