Seventeen Democratic officials accused President Donald Trump's administration of unlawfully intimidating health care providers into stopping gender-affirming care for transgender youth in a lawsuit filed Friday.

A coalition of Democratic state attorneys general sued the Trump administration on Friday over President Donald Trump’s effort to use the Department of Justice to go after medical professionals who provide gender identity care to trans youth and 18-year-olds.

Stanford Medicine, Children’s Hospital LA and Kaiser stopped gender-affirming care for children this summer. In response, California and 15 other states filed a lawsuit against the government.
