Sunderland fans were hoping for a big six side on the opening day, preferably on the Friday night eight o'clock slot; however, a home fixture against West Ham on Saturday, three o'clock on the 16th August, will begin Sunderland's tenure in the top flight.

Aside from the opening weekend's game against West Ham and the final fixture of the season against Chelsea, all dates are subject to change as a result of broadcast and other requirements.

The first meeting of the season between West Ham and Tottenham in a London derby will take place on September 13, before they do it all again on January 17, 2026. They meet Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal on October 4 and again in May 2026 for their penultimate home game of the campaign.
