Illinois Democratic Governor JB Pritzker brushed off the possibility of the FBI coming into his state and arresting Texas Democrats who left the state and headed to Illinois and other Democratic-led states in a last-ditch effort to block Republicans' redistricting efforts in Texas.

Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker (D) in a Wednesday interview said he would block any efforts to arrest Democratic lawmakers in the state who fled Texas to block a GOP effort to pick up five additional House seats in the midterm elections.

Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker has told NPR if Texas and other Republican majority states redraw new congressional districts outside the usual schedule after census periods, Illinois and blue states might follow the political escalation.
