The leaders of India and Canada on Tuesday held their first bilateral meeting since then-Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau accused New Delhi in 2023 of involvement in the killing of a Canadian Sikh separatist.

In October last year, diplomatic ties between the two nations had hit a low after India had expelled six Canadian diplomats.

The two leaders agreed to resume full diplomatic services, marking an end to the diplomatic row that began with Khalistani separatist Hardeep Singh Nijjar's killing in 2023.
