Scientists have warned that a string of volcanic eruptions along the volatile 'Ring of Fire' could have been caused by an enormous earthquake in Russia.

A volcano on Russia's eastern Kamchatka Peninsula erupted overnight into Sunday for what scientists said is the first time in hundreds of years, days after a massive 8.8-magnitude earthquake.
