Defenceman Nils Lundkvist is staying in Dallas. General manager Jim Nill announced Friday that they have signed Lundkvist to a one-year contract extension with a $1.25 million average annual value.

The Dallas Stars have announced that they’ve signed both Mavrik Bourque and Nils Lundkvist to contract extensions. The Stars have been one of the more active teams over the last 24 hours and are expected to make even more moves as we get closer to the 2025 NHL Draft on June 27 and the opening of free agency on July 1.

Dallas signed starting goaltender Jake Oettinger to an eight-year contract extension with an $8.25-million cap hit last October. At the trade deadline, they re-signed 22-year-old Wyatt Johnston to a five-year deal worth $8.4 million per season.
