Everton are getting closer to signing Manchester City star Jack Grealish on a season-long loan, with the 29-year-old now APPROVING a switch to Merseyside.

According to The Times reporter Paul Joyce, the conversations have gathered pace as Everton weighs the cost of taking on a player whose weekly wages stand at £300,000 [$403,470], a figure City hopes to recover almost in full over the course of a season-long loan worth around £12m [$16m].

We have an example of this in Jack Grealish. Possibly the biggest, most maverick talent of this generation, he was signed for a record fee and three years later he’s in the skip. He was signed as a great talent and then told to suppress that great talent as it wasn’t needed. Individuality was outlawed. Get-off-your-seat moments were denied.
