Tropical Storm Erin is expected to drift slightly more south of due west through Thursday. It will come close enough to the northern Caribbean to potentially bring tropical storm-force winds by the weekend,

Tropical Storm Erin is expected to become a hurricane later this week. Erin could become a major hurricane before curving north. While a path out to see appears to be most likely, the East Coast of the United States should monitor the storm closely. Erin is not a threat to the Gulf.
