The Conservation Officer Service (COS) has announced that a grizzly bear, which was allegedly shot by a resident in the Van Anda area of Texada Island, has been found dead.

The organization said it received a report from the RCMP on Monday afternoon that the bear was shot and possibly wounded by a member of the public in the Van Anda area.
