News of the UFC holding an event on the White House grounds next July 4 in Washington D.C. has re-sparked McGregor's interest in competing again. It's been over four years since McGregor last fought when he broke his leg in a TKO loss to Dustin Poirier at UFC 264.

In July, Trump suggested the event could be a full "championship fight" and potentially host up to 25,000 spectators.
