The mother of the three-year-old girl Claire Bell, whose disappearance under strange circumstances Sunday triggered a massive, continuing police search, has been charged with child abandonment and is expected to return to court in Valleyfield on Tuesday,

The search resumed Tuesday in Montérégie to try to find the three-year-old girl who has been missing since Sunday, while the girl’s mother has been charged with child abandonment. According to Sergeant Laurie Avoine,
